Ohio EPA's 2004 Integrated Water Quality

Monitoring and Assessment Report

This report produced every 2 years by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides a summary of water quality of water resources throughout Ohio.  The report indicates the general condition of Ohio’s waters and lists those waters, like Nimishillen Creek, that are currently not meeting water quality standards.  The link below is to the most recent Ohio Integrated Report which was completed in 2004.

Ohio EPA's 2001 Biological and Aquatic Life Use Attainment Study

Lower Middle Branch

Nimishillen Creek

In 2001, the Ohio EPA conducted an aquatic ecological assessment along a portion of the Middle Branch of Nimishillen Creek around the IUSI-Union Metal facility located in Canton.

Ohio EPA's 1994 Biological and Water Quality Study

East Branch

Nimishillen Creek

The mainstem and several tributaries of the East Branch were sampled to provide chemical data for waste load allocations industrial dischargers (Conrail Railroad Yard, J&L Specialty Products, and Republic Engineered Steel) and municipal waste water treatment plants (Louisville Plant).
