Ohio EPA's 2002 Integrated Water Quality

Monitoring and Assessment Report

This report produced every 2 years by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides a summary of water quality of water resources throughout Ohio.  The report indicates the general condition of Ohio’s waters and lists those waters, like Nimishillen Creek, that are currently not meeting water quality standards.  The link below is to the most recent Ohio Integrated Report which was completed in 2002.

Ohio EPA's 1994 Biological and Water Quality Study of the River Styx

Medina and Wayne Counties

 

The Ohio EPA conducted water quality sampling along River Styx mainstem from its mouth upstream 3.5 miles past the Wadsworth Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).  The report looks closely at the possible effects of three facilities (Wadsworth WWTP, Rittman WWTP, and Packaging Corporation of America) discharging into the River.  This report is in PDF format.
