Chippewa Creek Watershed
The Chippewa Creek is an important resource to the people
of Wayne and
Medina Counties in
Northeast Ohio for recreation,
as a water source for farms, and as a recharge for local
aquifers in the region. It drains nearly 188 square miles
of predominantly agricultural land; however, three cites
and eight villages are located within the Chippewa Creek
basin including
Orrville,
Wadsworth,
Rittman, Seville,
Marshallville, and
Doylestown.
